movin' in Asheville

Well, here I is.

 

The Jubilee Troupe has played a significant role in the unfolding of my journey, and I am glad to stay connected as (we) evolve, now becoming Jubilee Arts.

 

I write this from Asheville, North Carolina, where I moved recently to further explore what the Jubilee Troupe opened up for me. I had been interested in dance, theatre, worship, community-building, activism, prophecy, healing... but for the first time, the Troupe really brought all those things together for me in one fluid experience. So now I'm in Asheville, having newly joined the Asheville Playback Theatre, and undergoing training in InterPlay. I'm also begun playing and learning with other dance communities: contact improvisation, and 5 Rhythm sacred dance with the Asheville Movement Collective. These are my regulars. I'd love to dip into other forms as opportunities arise: Dances of Universal Peace, yoga, tai chi, African dance, capoeira, salsa, swing...! Whew, this is a good place to be.
